Supreme Cleaners Inc. wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most U.S. businesses follow.
What we have done
- Every picture has a short written description for people who can’t see it.
- Every page has one main heading, and the headings are in order, so screen readers can jump through a page.
- The menu, the Frequently Asked Questions, the light/dark button and the Request A Call Back form all work with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Form questions are clearly labeled, and optional ones say so. If something is missing, the form explains what to fix, and screen readers read it out.
- The site works when zoomed in to 200% or more, and on any size of screen, from phones to large monitors.
- All text is dark (or, in dark mode, light) enough against its background to be read easily.
- You can choose a light or dark version with the moon/sun button at the top of every page. Otherwise the site follows your device’s setting.
- Small animations, like the questions opening, are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
Known limits
- The IICRC, Scotchgard and NADCA badges at the bottom of every page are pictures of logos. Their names are in their written descriptions and printed underneath.
- The map on the Request A Call Back page, and the “Review Us” and Facebook links, come from Google and Facebook, which we can’t change ourselves. Our address and phone number are written out next to the map.
